How To Overcome Overwhelm & Procrastination When Fixing Your IRS Problem

How do you overcome feelings of overwhelm and procrastination when trying to fix your back IRS tax problem?

The #1 obstacle to fixing your IRS problem is not the IRS…

It’s YOU!

Most business owners who have these back IRS problems are paralyzed with fear, overwhelm, and procrastination. They know “logically” that they need to take action…but their emotions won’t allow them.

Why? And how do you fix it?

I cover in my most recent video the patterns I have noticed for those who ARE successful in fixing their problem with the IRS. I noticed it usually comes down to 2 things:

1.) A deeper goal in life.

If you have a deeper reason you want to fix this, the odds are much higher that you will put in the work needed to fix it.

Maybe it’s wanting to buy a house. Or to grow your business. Or to get married (tons of people tell me their significant other will not marry them because of their unresolved tax problem. Maybe it’s just wanting a better quality of life.

Think about at a deeper level about what your goal is. And that will help give you the energy needed to take on your tax problem.

2.) Think about the kind of person you want to be.

One of the most poisonous things we can do to ourselves is to hold ourselves to low standards.
When we let ourselves get away with not doing what is right…or cutting corners…or being passive rather than active in our obligations…

It lowers our self-esteem and makes us think poorly of ourselves.

And the way you do one thing, is the way you do everything.

If you are blowing off your taxes, you are probably letting yourself blow off other things in life too.
This kind of mediocre, childlike energy gives us a false relief from having to confront our problems, but in the long run makes us lose respect for ourselves. And when that happens, everything else in life suffers.

So a big motivating factor is to think deeply about the kind of person you want to be, and the standards you want to have for yourself. And if you want to raise your standards, increase the quality of your actions.
